Additional needs and inclusion
At CWPA, all children have an entitlement to a broad and balanced curriculum where they are fully included in every aspect of school life. We believe that everyone should be equally valued and given equal opportunities whatever their age, gender, ethnicity, impairment, disability, attainment or background. We aim to raise awareness of and prevent prejudice and discrimination, and to develop an environment where everyone can flourish and feel safe. We respond to the children's individual needs and take account of their varied life experiences, paying particular attention to the provision for and the achievement of different groups of learners including those of ethnic minority learners, travellers, learners with special educational needs and learners identified as gifted and talented.
Our SENDCo is Miss Damsell. For full information on our approach to supporting children with additional needs please see our handbook below.
